COMMUNITY NOTICE From SRA Board:
Land Movement Updates
This will be the last of our weekly updates.
Periodic updates may come out as new developments arise.
City Council Meeting
- The City Council extended support of the emergency declaration
- A proposal to extend the SCE temporary box loop circuit in SeaView for another 6 months was approved. There will be ongoing meetings to finalize plans for the permanent electrical lines that will supply Dauntless. An ask was made for SCE and the City to address the remaining 3 SeaView homes that have not been re-energized.
- An ask was made of the City Council to write a letter to the county assessor’s office supporting rapid determination of property value reductions for impacted homes. The City will do so.
Land Movement Q&A session
- Some pinching of deep de-watering wells has been observed. City is considering whether to redrill the wells. Routine maintenance of pumps is ongoing.
- GPS survey results. Full survey beginning this Friday and through the weekend. No toe movement noted at this time.
- Utilities:
- SoCal Gas. Latest updates are online and were included in last week’s update. There was offering of natural gas cylinders to 7 residents who declined. There is longer term planning for restoration of services in the Beach Club area and SeaView underway. SoCal Gas is hoping to have this plan completed in the second quarter of 2025 with announcement of plans at that time. No plans at present to restore services to PBCA.
- Frontier. No new updates. Ongoing work to bring fiberoptic to PB communities.
- SCE. Not in the meeting. See City Council updates on the box loop for SeaView
- Cal Water. No new updates. No new information on the underground pipes to the East of Schooner. There was a break in SeaView along Dauntless at 4393. It was a below ground pipe main. Secondary to tree roots. Break has been repaired and clean up completed. Cal Water will provide details on this break to the city.
- LA County Public Works. Ongoing monitoring of lines in SeaView. No new movement noted.
- LA County Sanitation District. Pipe work between Klondike Canyon and the pumping plant is still underway along PV Drive South. This work will be preformed at nighttime. Other work has been completed.
- KCLAD Two wells are running. Water level is at 90 feet. 245Gal/min rate of pumping. Anticipating another well this spring.
- ACLAD. Well drilling operations are in progress. No other updates today.
- PB Beach Club No new updates
- PBCA. No new updates
